TRIUMPH CELEBRATES SUCCESS IN INAUGURAL NATIONAL MOTOCROSS AND ENDURO SEASONS

Thu 23 Oct 2025

In its very first year of national-level off-road competition, Triumph Motorcycles is celebrating motocross and enduro successes across multiple domestic series worldwide. The British manufacturer has secured both the ACU British Motocross and Enduro Championship titles, as well as the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro Italian Enduro1 National Championship this season. These championship accolades are complemented by many strong results in other national series, demonstrating the competitiveness of Triumph’s motocross and enduro models as a new entrant to the segment.

British Enduro Championship

The Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team dominated the 2025 British Enduro Championship with riders Jamie McCanney and Mikael Persson. The team secured a landmark 1-2 finish after the eight-round series, which took place at venues across the UK. Racing the TF 250-E throughout the season, Persson put on strong performances all year to establish a commanding lead in the Elite Championship class. However, an injury forced the Swedish rider out of the final round, allowing McCanney, who had consistently challenged Persson, to capitalise and clinch the title for Triumph. The team recorded seven wins and six second-place finishes in their debut season. McCanney also secured the British Sprint Enduro title.

British Motocross Championship

Triumph racer Tommy Searle put on a thrilling show at the final round of the ACU MX2 British Motocross Championship where the former GP winner clinched the title with his TF 250-X. Delivering a champion’s ride in the final moto of the season, Searle had battled hard to overcome adversity in his debut Triumph season, including missing a round due to injury. In only its inaugural season in the highly competitive British series, the Triumph TF 250-X reigned supreme, with Searle and the Dirt Store Triumph Racing team bringing home a dream title for the British manufacturer.

Italian Enduro Championship

Triumph Italia Racing took championship honours in the hotly contested 2025 Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro national series, with Morgan Lesiardo winning the Enduro1 title aboard the TF 250-E. An intense and technical championship finale tested the riders to the limit, delivering excitement and surprises right up to the final moments of the series. Lesiardo was able to capitalise on his skill, experience, and the competitiveness of his TF 250-E to take the title. Additionally, Triumph racer Luca Colorio became vice-champion in the junior category of the series.

450 Vice-Champions – German & Swedish Motocross Championships

In the ADAC MX Masters series, Max Nagl finished a close runner-up aboard the TF 450-RC in a hard-fought battle for the title. The German racer took a number of overall victories and podiums with the Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek team. In Sweden, Alvin Östlund enjoyed an impressive MX1 season aboard his FF-Racing Triumph machine. The racer from Hallstahammar had a number of top-three moto finishes, with four runner-up podium finishes and his first overall victory aboard Triumph machinery at the fifth round in Ulricehamns MK. Östlund just missed out on the title but was proud to become vice-champion in Triumph’s first year competing at national level.

Spain & Portugal Motocross Championships

In Spain, Samuel Nilsson and rookie racer Carlos Prat enjoyed strong results in the Spanish National MX Championship’s Elite MX2 category. Nilsson had earned four podiums from the first five races in the battle for the championship, although he sustained an injury in qualifying at the penultimate round of the season in Alhama de Murcia. Unfortunately, the Triumph racer was unable to take part in the event, and missed the season finale, dropping to a still credible fourth in the standings. Young racer Prat earned a top-three moto finish and has been making great progress with consistently strong results to finish the series in sixth position. Triumph star and racing veteran Ivan Cervantes debuted the TF 450-X at the final round as an ambassador and held his own against the MX1 regulars. In neighbouring Portugal, 17-year-old Tomás Santos finished third in the standings in the Campeonato Nacional Jogos Santa Casa MX series, taking four race podiums from six rounds during his first year on four-stroke machinery. In the MX1 Veterans category, Ricardo Ayres used his experience and determination to overcome injuries and win the championship.

France & Poland Motocross Championships

In France, Jimmy Clochet took fourth overall in the Championnat De France Motocross MX2 series. While in Poland, Wiktoria Kupczyk took a commanding win in her national championship at the final round.

Dominance in multiple series across US, Canada, and Australia

In the US, Triumph celebrated a dominant first race win from Ricky Russell in the AMA National Enduro series, as well as wins in AMA EnduroCross with Jonny Walker. In Canada, Kaylie Kayer finished as vice-champion in the Canadian WMX East series – the biggest amateur national series in the country – with a 1-1 victory at the final round. A number of regional titles have also been won by Triumph-mounted racers on Canadian soil. Triumph earned notable results in the Australia ProMX Motocross Championship, with Zachary Watson taking fifth in the overall MX1 standings aboard his TF 450.

International Podiums for Triumph’s TF bikes

Triumph riders have earned wins and podiums in global competitions including FIM MXGP, EnduroGP, SuperEnduro, and the AMA SuperMotocross Championship. Triumph bikes also contributed to Team Italy and Team Sweden’s success in the International Six Days Enduro. The TF 250-X, TF 450-RC, TF 250-E, and TF 450-E have all proven competitive at the highest international levels.

Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles

“Firstly, we’d like to say a huge congratulations to Mikael, Jamie, and Tommy for their results in the British Enduro and British MX2 championships. It’s a very exciting moment for everyone involved to see a Triumph on top of the podium in the British championships in only our first year of competition. In addition, Morgan has done an amazing job with the Triumph Italia Racing Team. We’ve also seen many more strong performances in championships across the world, which is really exciting. To win and finish runner-up against some highly established competition in a number of the top domestic championships is testament to all the hard work delivered by everyone across the global Triumph team. We’d like to say a huge congratulations to all of the riders and teams competing at national level for their first year on board Triumph machinery. In just two years, Triumph has developed an ambitious off-road racing programme across some of the toughest international competitions. At the same time, Triumph has brought these brand-new, developed-from-the-ground-up motocross and enduro models to customers worldwide for the first time. It’s been intense, to say the least. Each of these countries has also been working to make an impact in their own national racing programmes, and our teams on the ground have played a vital role in the ecosystem of racing, testing, and development, while nurturing talent and showcasing our products at a national level. After such an impressive first year, we can’t wait to see what 2026 will bring.”
