BETA MRT RACING TEAM : ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP MOTOCROSS PRO-PRESTIGE

Campionato Italiano Motocross Pro-Prestige Ottobiano, Pavia

Il Campionato Italiano Motocross Pro-Prestige apre i battenti sulla pista di Ottobiano, in provincia di Pavia, con il primo round della stagione. Prove al mattino e gare nel pomeriggio della domenica: il format classico per un appuntamento che ha visto al via numerosi piloti di caratura internazionale, sia in classe MX1 che in MX2. Tra questi, il Beta MRT Racing Team che ha schierato tre piloti, regalando spunti tecnici e agonistici di rilievo. In pista anche i collaudatori ufficiali Beta, Francesco Bassi e Tomasso Isdraele.

L’episodio più atteso del fine settimana porta il nome di Rick Elzinga. Il pilota olandese, che nel contesto del mondiale MXGP gareggia con il Beta MRT Racing Team, torna in gara dopo un lungo periodo di assenza dovuto a un infortunio. In Gara 1 MX1, Elzinga ha chiuso in 13ª posizione assoluta, valsa l’11° posto nella categoria Elite. Numeri che, alla luce della lunga inattività, fotografano un rientro gestito con lucidità e pragmatismo.

Nella classe MX2 ha invece corso Alexis Fueri, pilota del team impegnato nel Campionato Europeo EMXGP. Il pilota francese ha disputato una gara solida e senza sbavature, chiudendo in 7ª posizione sia in Gara 1 che nella classifica di giornata della categoria Elite. Una prestazione che conferma il buon momento di forma del pilota e la continuità di rendimento che caratterizza il suo approccio alle competizioni.

A completare la presenza del marchio Beta ad Ottobiano sono stati Francesco Bassi e Tommaso Isdraele, entrambi collaudatori ufficiali della casa madre di Rignano sull’Arno. I due erano in sella al prototipo della RX 250 4T, impegnati in un lavoro che va ben oltre il semplice risultato cronometrico: ogni occasione è preziosa per la raccolta dati e lo sviluppo tecnico della moto. Bassi ha concluso Gara 1 MX2 in 16ª posizione assoluta, guadagnando poi il 3° posto nella classifica di giornata della categoria Fast. Isdraele si è piazzato 15° in gara, terminando 13° nella categoria Elite. Risultati che, letti nell’ottica del programma di sviluppo, offrono indicazioni incoraggianti.

I collaudatori Beta archiviano dunque il Round 1 con un bilancio complessivamente positivo, guardando già ai prossimi appuntamenti del calendario. Il prossimo impegno per il Beta MRT Racing Team sarà invece in Spagna, dal 20 al 22 marzo 2026. Insieme ai piloti della classe regina, scenderà in pista anche Alexis Fueri nella serie europea EMXGP.

The Italian Pro-Prestige Motocross Championship kicks off at the Ottobiano track, in the province of Pavia, with the first round of the season. Practice sessions in the morning and races in the afternoon on Sunday: the classic format for an event that saw numerous world-class riders take to the starting line, in both the MX1 and MX2 classes. Among them, the Beta MRT Racing Team fielded three riders, providing significant technical and competitive insights. Also on the track were Beta’s official test riders, Francesco Bassi and Tomasso Isdraele.

The most anticipated event of the weekend revolves around Rick Elzinga. The Dutch rider, who competes with the Beta MRT Racing Team in the MXGP World Championship, returned to racing after a long absence due to injury. In MX1 Race 1, Elzinga finished 13th overall, securing 11th position in the Elite category. These results, given his long hiatus, reflect a comeback managed with clear-headedness and pragmatism.

In the MX2 class, Alexis Fueri, a rider for the team competing in the EMXGP European Championship, took to the track. The French rider delivered a solid, flawless performance, finishing 7th in both Race 1 and the Elite category’s day-to-date standings. This performance confirms the rider’s current good form and the consistent performance that characterizes his approach to competition.

Rounding out Beta’s presence at Ottobiano were Francesco Bassi and Tommaso Isdraele, both official test riders for the parent company based in Rignano sull’Arno. The two were riding the RX 250 4T prototype, engaged in work that goes far beyond mere lap times: every opportunity is valuable for data collection and the technical development of the bike. Bassi finished Race 1 MX2 in 16th position overall, then securing 3rd position in the day’s standings for the Fast category. Isdraele placed 15th in the race, finishing 13th in the Elite category. These results, viewed through the lens of the development program, offer encouraging signs.

The Beta test riders thus wrap up Round 1 with an overall positive assessment, already looking ahead to the next events on the calendar. The Beta MRT Racing Team’s next outing will be in Spain, from March 20 to 22, 2026. Alongside the premier class riders, Alexis Fueri will also take to the track in the European EMXGP series.
