FRAUENFELD (Switzerland) 29th September 2026 – Freezing temperatures, deep mud and constantly changing track conditions pushed riders to their absolute limits in Frauenfeld for the FIM Europe EMX250 and EMX125 presented by FMF Racing in Switzerland, as Round 2 of the delivered a true test of skill, resilience and racecraft.
Across both categories, the Swiss circuit provided two different kinds of races between the first races of Saturday to the muddy ones on Sunday. In these demanding conditions, consistency and composure became just as important as outright speed, separating the strongest performers from the rest of the field.
In EMX250, Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki’s Francisco Garcia rose above the chaos with a flawless display, mastering both a high-intensity Race 1 battle and a charge through the pack in Race 2 to complete a perfect weekend.
Meanwhile in EMX125 Presented by FMF Racing, Norman KTM Factory Rookies’ Ricardo Bauer showcased maturity and consistency across both races, securing the overall victory despite strong pressure from rivals in ever-changing conditions.
With mud, cold, and technical terrain, Frauenfeld delivered an early-season benchmark—highlighting not only the speed of the front runners, but also their ability to adapt and perform under some of the toughest conditions.

Race 1 set the tone for the weekend with one of the most exciting contests of the season so far, featuring multiple lead changes and a fierce battle at the front.
Simone Mancini from Beddini Racing Ducati Corse Factory MX2 Team grabbed the holeshot and led the early stages under heavy pressure from Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki’s Jake Cannon, who quickly established himself as a serious contender. Cannon made his first move early on, only for Mancini to respond and reclaim the lead shortly after.
As the race unfolded, Francesco Garcia began his charge through the field. After starting outside the top positions, the Spaniard made rapid progress, passing riders with precision before closing in on the leading group.
A decisive moment came mid-race when Cannon executed a perfect scrub to retake the lead from Mancini. But Garcia’s pace was undeniable. Setting the fastest lap and carrying strong momentum, he caught and passed Cannon with a decisive inside move to take control of the race.
From there, Garcia managed the race to perfection, securing victory ahead of Cannon. MRT Racing Team Beta’s Alexis Fueri completed the podium with a consistent ride, while Mancini, despite leading twice, dropped back after losing rhythm in the latter stages.
Race 2 told a completely different story, as difficult conditions and unpredictable starts reshuffled the order from the very beginning.
Brando Rispoli took the holeshot, leading ahead of Venrooy KTM Racing’s Áron Katona and Cat Moto Bauerschmidt KTM’s Liam Owens, while several of the main contenders were left with work to do. Garcia found himself outside the top five early on, while Cannon and Fueri were even further back after challenging opening laps.
Mancini initially held strong inside the leading group but made a small mistake in the tricky conditions, allowing Garcia to close in. The Spaniard quickly seized the opportunity, moving past Mancini and continuing his forward charge.
Just as in Race 1, Garcia’s pace proved decisive. Lap after lap, he worked his way through the field, eventually taking control of the race despite his average start.
Once in front, he was pushed all the way to the finish by Owens, who showed impressive speed in the closing stages and reduced the gap significantly. However, a small mistake from the Australian in the final laps allowed Garcia to maintain control and secure another victory.
Behind them, Mancini regrouped after his earlier setback and fought his way back into a podium position, once again demonstrating his speed and determination across very different race scenarios.
Overall, Garcia demonstrated not only speed but also race craft and consistency. Whether fighting through the pack or managing pressure at the front, the Spaniard delivered a flawless performance. With two wins from two races in Frauenfeld, Garcia leaves Switzerland with maximum momentum, firmly establishing himself as the rider to beat in the EMX250 Championship.
Meanwhile, Mancini’s standout showing, achieved on a complete stock Ducati bike, underlined both his potential and the significance of his performance for his team. Cannon also confirmed his form as he make a strong back to back podium.
Francisco Garcia: “The start wasn’t the best, but I felt really good on the bike. I could see the leaders, but I stayed calm and didn’t want to push too much too early. My feeling was really good all weekend, and right now we are in a good moment. The season is still long, so we just need to keep working and keep improving step by step.”

In the EMX125 class, Austria’s Ricardo Bauer delivered a composed and mature performance to take victory in Race 1.
From the start, Bauer quickly positioned himself at the front, but the race remained tightly contested in the early laps. Norman KTM Factory Rookies’ Moritz Erneckerstayed close throughout, while Sleny Goyer from Yamaha Europe Monster Energy MJC made strong progress after working his way up into third place.
Further back, TMX Competition’s Liam Bruneau showed impressive speed, recovering from an average start to join the battle for podium positions. The fight for third became one of the highlights of the race, with Bruneau closing in on Goyer in the final stages.
Despite the pressure behind him, Bauer remained calm and consistent, choosing not to over-push and instead managing the gap to secure a well-controlled victory.
Ernecker followed him home in second, just over five seconds behind, while Goyer held off late pressure to complete the podium.
The second race of the weekend unfolded in freezing conditions on the demanding Swiss hard-pack.
From the start, the race was tightly packed, with several riders fighting for position inside the top ten. Bruneau made a strong getaway and quickly established himself at the front, setting the tone early and building a gap as the laps unfolded.
Behind him, Bauer had to work his way forward after an average start. Showing maturity and race intelligence, the Austrian avoided unnecessary risks and steadily moved into second position, keeping his focus on consistency rather than over-pushing in the tricky conditions.
Further back, the action remained intense throughout the field. Ernecker fought through the pack after a difficult opening phase, while TM Moto CRD Motosport Factory Racing’s Andrea Uccellini delivered a strong and consistent ride inside the leading group.
The early stages also saw plenty of movement, with positions constantly changing as riders searched for traction on the hard-pack surface. Jordi Alba from RFME Spain National Team lost ground after being inside the fight early on, while the battle for third place became one of the highlights of the race.
Bruneau, however, remained in control from start to finish. The Frenchman showed impressive pace and composure, leading every lap and never giving his rivals a real opportunity to challenge.
As the race progressed, the gaps stabilised, but the intensity remained high in the chasing group, with riders pushing to the limit in the cold and demanding conditions.
In the end, it was Bruneau who came out on top, delivering a statement ride and bouncing back strongly after Race 1, while Bauer once again demonstrated consistency at the front in what is shaping up to be a highly competitive EMX125 campaign.
With a 1-2, Bauer won his first EMX250 overall while his Team mate Ernecker keeps the red Plate after a solid round in 2-7. Bruneau joins the chase to the front two KTM Teammates in the championship as he propelled himself in thirs position in the series.
Ricardo Bauer: “It was a solid weekend for me. I didn’t have perfect starts every time, but I stayed consistent and focused on my races. We worked really well during the winter and I feel like everything is coming together now. The goal is to keep this momentum and keep building as the season goes on.”
