

The Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship returned to action in Fafe, Portugal, for round five with Friday’s action-packed Akrapovic Super Test.
With FIM EnduroGP staying in Fafe for round five, GP of Portugal II, the Akrapovic Super Test delivered another thrilling night of racing. This time the course was run in a reverse direction.
In the EnduroGP class, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia was once again the rider to beat in Fafe for the Akrapovic Super Test. In a repeat performance of round four, Garcia was fastest tonight.
TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon matched his result from one week ago to claim the runner-up spot.
Weighing into the mix, Sherco Racing Factory’s Julien Roussaly completed the top three. Roussaly edged out his teammate, Steve Holcombe by 0.63 seconds, who finished fourth. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona completed the top five.

The Expotrade Women’s Enduro class saw RIEJU Factory Team’s Rachel Gutish top the time sheets by a healthy 2.76 seconds.
Lorna Lafont (Husqvarna) ended her night in second, beating third-place ET James Sherco UK’s Nieve Holmes by 0.28 seconds.
In the fight for Tsubaki Junior Enduro honours, it was Johansson MPE’s Will Dennett who took the top spot over NSA Racing’s Kevin Cristino in second, with WP Eric Auge’s Alex Puey claiming third.
The Putoline Oil Youth Enduro class was closely contested with the top five riders separated by less than two seconds.
WP Eric Auge’s Yago Dominguez won by 0.53 seconds, with Fantic Factory Racing’s Valentin Mersin beating Jose Pellicer (Sherco) by 0.13 seconds to place as runner-up.
