Triumph Factory Racing is set to take on the 100th edition of the FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations in Grândola, Portugal, from October 12-17. Leo Joyon, Mikael Persson, and Jamie McCanney will all line up in the Men’s World Trophy category for France, Sweden, and Great Britain, respectively. Racing aboard Triumph’s TF 250-E and TF 450-E machinery, the trio bring a wealth of 6DAYS experience to one of the most prestigious events on the enduro calendar.
Following a standout 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship campaign, Leo Joyon heads to Portugal aboard his TF 250-E having established himself as one of the leading riders in the Junior category. The young Frenchman will step up to represent the Men’s World Trophy team for France. Joyon has an impressive record at the 6DAYS, winning the Junior World Trophy with Team France in 2023, before helping the team to runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025. His 2026 season has seen him claim four overall Junior victories, including Triumph Factory Racing’s first-ever victory in EnduroGP, as well as finishing runner-up in both the Junior and Junior1 standings.
Mikael Persson returns to 6DAYS competition with Team Sweden, making his return to international racing following a pre-season injury that ruled him out of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship. A hugely experienced 6DAYS competitor, Persson won the Junior World Trophy with Sweden in 2016 before producing a standout individual performance in 2021, finishing third overall and second in the Enduro1 class. In 2022, he dominated the Enduro3 category, leading the class on every day of special-test competition on his way to the class victory. Returning to the event with Triumph Factory Racing in 2025, Persson helped Team Sweden secure second place in the Men’s World Trophy and finished fourth overall individually, while also claiming third in Enduro1.
Jamie McCanney will make his return to Great Britain’s Men’s World Trophy team aboard the TF 450-E. McCanney has spent the 2026 season as Rider Coach for Triumph Factory Racing, following his retirement from EnduroGP competition at the end of 2025. A six-time representative for Team GB at the event, he has enjoyed considerable success at the 6DAYS throughout his career. In 2015, he secured victory in the E1 individual class, before playing a key role in Great Britain’s historic Men’s World Trophy victory in 2022, which ended a 69-year wait for the nation. The following year in Argentina, McCanney helped Team GB secure third place in the World Trophy competition while finishing sixth individually.
Triumph will be represented across the Trophy teams and Club Team Award, with 23 riders from 11 nations contesting the iconic event. Morgan Lesiardo will defend the Men’s Trophy title with Team Italy following his runner-up finish in the 2026 Enduro1 World Championship, while Samuli Puhakainen will represent Finland with Arturo Rodriguez lining up for Mexico. Renato Silva will compete for Portugal in the Men’s Trophy, with Robin Gunnarsson, Jack Keenan, Martin Fernandez, and Francisco Leite competing in the Junior Trophy for Sweden, Great Britain, Chile, and Portugal, respectively. Shelby Turner will represent Canada and Charlotte Knight New Zealand in the Women’s Trophy. Across the full Triumph rider contingent, 15 will compete aboard the TF 250-E and eight on the TF 450-E.
The 100th FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations will take place in Grândola, Portugal, from October 12-17.
Leo Joyon
“I’m really looking forward to getting the 6DAYS underway; it’s always a special race. You’re representing your country, and doing it as part of a team adds a unique aspect to the event that we don’t experience for the rest of the year. I’ve had a really strong season in EnduroGP, so the momentum is there and I’m feeling confident and ready to give everything for France again. It’s a race format that suits me well, so we’ll see how it goes. I’ve also earned a promotion this year, as I’ll be riding for the Men’s Trophy Team, so I’m really excited to make my debut in the elite class. I can’t wait to get started in Portugal.”
Mikael Persson
“Obviously, after not competing in any international races this year and only racing nationally, I’m really excited to get back on the world stage. It’s difficult to know exactly where I’ll be compared to the other riders after missing all those races, so I’m not putting too much pressure on myself in terms of a specific result. I just want to have a really good, solid week on the bike and enjoy being back racing at this level. For the team, the goal is obviously to be up there fighting for the win. We finished second with Team Sweden last year, so it would be amazing to do that again or even go one better this time. I’m feeling really excited and ready to get back to racing.”
Jamie McCanney
“I’m really looking forward to getting back out there and representing Great Britain again. It’s been a little while since I last competed at the 6DAYS, so to be selected for the Trophy team for the 100th edition in Portugal is a really special opportunity. I’ve spent this season working with Triumph Factory Racing as Rider Coach, so it’s going to be a different experience switching back into rider mode, but I’m feeling good and I know what to expect from the event. The 6DAYS has given me some of the best moments of my career, especially winning with Team GB in 2022, so I’m excited to be back and hopefully we can have another strong week as a team.”
Paul Edmondson – Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager
“The 6DAYS is always an important event for me and the team. It’s a historic race that really puts both the riders and the motorcycles to the test over six days of enduro. This year looks set to be a more traditional 6DAYS, which will definitely test everyone. It’s also great to have three of our riders competing and representing their countries. Jamie’s selection came together at the last minute, but he’s definitely going to be ready, and it will be interesting to see what he can do on the TF 450-E. We’re really excited to see Mikael back in action after missing the EnduroGP season, and we have no doubt that Leo will continue to impress after the strong year he’s had. It’s going to be a great week for the team, and we’re looking forward to getting started.”
Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles
“To see so many Triumph enduro bikes competing at the 6DAYS this year is a testament to the capability of our bikes and how they are increasingly being seen as a serious option for riders. Once again, our factory riders have been selected to represent their respective countries, but I’m particularly pleased to see Jamie McCanney, a British rider, representing the British team on a bike designed and produced by a British manufacturer. The 6DAYS is one of the standout events on the calendar and will deliver some great racing as the riders and countries battle it out for the ultimate prize. I wish all the Triumph riders the very best of luck!”
