CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (August 28, 2026) – Following the American Motorcyclist Association’s Team USA announcement today at Ironman Raceway, American Honda salutes Chance Hymas on his selection to compete in the Motocross of Nations. The Honda HRC Progressive rider will join Cooper Webb and Levi Kitchen at the 79thedition of the event October 2-4 in Ernée, France.
Hymas has been on a roll in AMA Pro Motocross recently, finishing on the 250-class overall podium in the four most recent rounds, and scoring the overall win last weekend in Maryland. He currently sits fourth in the series points, with a chance to take over third at tomorrow’s finale.
Hymas was also selected for Team USA in 2024, only to be sidelined by a late-season injury; when the lifelong Motocross of Nations fan and his team were again approached at the 11th hour regarding their availability for this year’s race, they immediately discussed the opportunity and agreed that representing Team USA was the right decision. In addition to this marking Hymas’ MXoN debut, the event will also be his professional debut on a 450, campaigning the MX1 class aboard a factory Honda HRC Progressive CRF450RWE.
“It’s an absolute honor to be invited to ride for Team USA in the Motocross of Nations,” said the 21-year-old Hymas. “When I received the request to represent my country, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind—and there never will be. I was super bummed when an injury prevented me from going a couple years ago, so this kind of feels like an opportunity to set that right. I’m grateful for being asked, and I appreciate Honda being behind me on short notice. We have a solid team of fast riders who answered the bell, and I have a great group around me. I can’t wait to show everyone what we can do.”
Honda HRC Progressive riders Jett and Hunter Lawrence led Team Australia to victory in the 2024 and ’25 Motocross of Nations, and Jo Shimoda had a strong showing for Team Japan last year. When Hymas was approached by the AMA to race this year, Honda was quick to confirm its support.
