ERNEE (France) 4 Octobre 2026 – Arno Cazet, Jaydin Smart and Tymon Andrzejewski were crowned winners of the YZ125, YZ85 and YZ65 classes respectively at the 2026 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale, as the next generation of motocross talent took centre stage at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France.

YZ125

Arno Cazet

French rider Arno Cazet put on a sensational display at the 2026 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale as he rode to a dominant victory in front of over tenth of thousands of fans at his home track in Ernée.

Qualifying in first place in Saturday’s Timed Practice, Arno Cazet was focused as he lined up at the starting gate in front of a roaring crowd with 36 of his competitors from across the globe, all of whom were aiming to take the top step of the podium and be crowned 2026 YZ BLU CRU FIM Europe Cup SuperFinale Champion.

It was Australian rider Blake Bohannon, making his debut in the YZ125 class, who blasted off from the gates and got an impressive holeshot in front of the field, but a mistake would cost him the lead almost immediately. New Zealand’s Jagger Townleywasted no time in taking advantage and charging to the front of the pack. Cazet was close behind, and to the delight of the crowd made the pass for the top spot before the end of the first lap.

Bohannon and Swiss competitor Luis Santeusanio began a lasting battle for third place, both hungry to step onto the podium and going bar to bar, regularly trading places. At the front, Cazet stretched the gap to over three seconds, riding faultlessly in front of the packed hills full of cheering French fans.

Townley showed impressive skills on his YZ125 debut, holding second place and a two second gap to third, where Bohannon sat after catching and passing Santeusanio at the 14-minute mark of the race. However, disaster struck for the Australian with ten minutes to go as the young rider stalled his bike and dropped down the field to sixth position and out of podium contention.

After a demanding race around the 1.6km track, it was Cazet who took victory by over 12 seconds ahead of Townley and Santeusanio, with Jorge Salvador from Spain taking fourth, and Swiss rider Jarno Jansen rounding out the top five. Britain’s Alfie Geddis-Green crossed the line in sixth position, however a 10-place penalty was applied for overtaking under yellow flags, demoting the British rider to 16th, leaving Talon Medaglia inheriting sixth place, in front of Slovenia’s Alex Novak in seventh. Britain’s Harley Marczak finished in eighth, while the USA’s Cooper Johnson crossed the line in ninth, just ahead of Lucas Moncrieff, with the British rider closing out the top ten.

Arno Cazet, YZ125 P1:“I am very happy to win in my country, and want to say a big thanks to my parents and sponsors, it’s the best feeling to win the YZ BLU CRU SuperFinale here in France in front of this crowd”

YZ85

Jaydin Smart

Saturday began with the YZ85 race, with Roko Ivandi? from Croatia taking an impressive holeshot straight out of the gate, ahead of Colombia’s Martín Ospina, and Slovenia’s Leo Gasjer in third. Early weekend favourite, American rider Jaydin Smartstruggled out of the gate, dropping down as far as eighth place on the opening lap.

With Ivandi? and Ospina battling for first and second positions, Smart made his way through the pack, charging past his competitors to get back into third place in the opening laps. With Ospina in his sights, Smart kept the pressure on and took second place from the Colombian on lap six, eventually taking the lead with three laps to go.

Brazilian rider Henri Oliveira Krug finished in fourth place ahead of Leo Gasjer in fifth and Willads Gordon finishing in sixth place for Denmark. Austrian rider Maurice Heidegger crossed the line in seventh place, with Canada’s Chandler Powell, Denmark’s Lucas Taylor and Croatian rider Stefan Lence finishing from eighth to tenth respectively.

Jaydin Smart, YZ85 P1: « I got off to a pretty bad start, but I just tried my best and kept passing people. I’m really happy to take the win in front of such a big crowd. »

YZ65

In the YZ65 class, Tymon Andrzejewski set himself as the early favourite and looked to build on his 2025 YZ65 BLU CRU Europe Cup SuperFinale win in Sweden, as he lined up at the starting gate alongside his competitors.

However, it was Great Britain’s Tommy Wood who launched himself to the front of the pack with an incredible holeshot. The British rider wouldn’t hold the lead for long though, as Andrzejewski charged past to take the lead halfway through the opening lap, with Wood in second place and the USA’s Ezra Armbruster in third.

Francis, Armbruster and Wood battled and traded places throughout the race before disaster struck for Wood as he lost the front and crashed out of third position, leaving Armbruster in second with Francis in the final podium spot.

Holding onto fourth position, and over 14 seconds behind third place, Wood remounted and set off charging back towards the top three riders. A crash for Hudson Francis on the fourth lap would gift Wood a podium position as he climbed to third, with Ezra Armbruster also crashing out on the face of a jump on the last lap, gifting Wood second place at the finish.

Slovenia’s Matic Ma?ek crossed the line in fourth place after catching and passing Hudson Francis on the last lap, while Hugo Blascos was the highest finishing Spanish rider in sixth place. Close behind was Portugal’s Rodrigo Garcia in seventh and Canadian rider Kayden Mueller in eighth. Finnish riders Felix Lind and Martti Kaurinkoski rounded out the top ten in ninth and tenth respectively.

Tymon Andrzejewski crossed the line in first place, the Polish rider cementing his dominance with an over 30 second lead ahead of Wood, with Armbruster holding onto third.
