Returning to the 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations, Team Italy’s Manolo Morettini (Husqvarna) has his sights set on fighting for the top step of the Club Team Award podium in Grândola, Portugal.

If he can find his way to the top of the Club Team Award category, he will have achieved a rare feat in enduro by claiming victory in all three 6DAYS® classespossible for him.
So far, things are going well for Team Italy, with Morettini and his teammates, Pietro Scardina (TM MOTO) and Simone Cagnoni (KTM), locked in a battle for the overall win.
With numerous 6DAYS® under his belt, Morettini is enjoying his time in Portugal. The elder statesman of the team, he has jokingly been referred to as team captain.
“I don’t know if I would consider myself in the role of captain,” says Morettini. “But I guess I’m the oldest rider on the team, so I am happy to take that!
“During the past few days, the guys have asked me for advice here and there and it’s a nice feeling to help.”
Switching from the World Trophy to the Club Team Award for 2026 is providing a new and enjoyable experience for him too.
“For sure, racing in the Club Team Award class comes with many different challenges. The biggest is probably the condition of the special tests. Many riders have already raced them by the time we arrive on the first lap, so they are very different from how we walked them.
“The goal is to try and win the Club Team Award,” he considers. “However, there are also many other fast teams in the category, with many top riders, so we can only do our best. I hope it goes well.
“But, honestly, no matter if you are racing in the World Trophy or in the Club Team Award, you are still here racing for your country and giving your best.”
