Five legends of motorcycle sport will be inducted into the FIM Hall of Fame on Friday 13 November 2026, with the ceremony taking place at the Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM) – Mies – Switzerland celebrating their contributions across various disciplines.

Angel Nieto – FIM Grand Prix, Jordi Tarrés – FIM TrialGP, Tony Rickardsson – FIM SpeedwayGP, Stéphane Peterhansel – FIM RallyGP / FIM EnduroGP and Stefan Everts – FIM MXGP will be honoured in a programme bringing together champions, media and fans. Nieto will be inducted posthumously, represented by his sons Pablo and Gelete. The inductees reflect the breadth of achievement celebrated by the Hall of Fame.
The day will begin at FIM headquarters, which is adjacent to the RMM, with a media session featuring FIM President Jorge Viegas. Journalists will have the opportunity to hear from the FIM President and ask questions, before the inductees and Nieto’s representatives join the session.
The induction ceremony will take place at RMM from 14:00 to 15:30hrs. Each tribute will include a dedicated video, a handprint moment for photographers, a presentation and a speech from the inductee or representatives.

The handprints carry a special meaning within the FIM Hall of Fame, whose inscription celebrates the many hands that shape the sport:
“A right hand clutching the throttle, controlling power, determining the outcome of every corner. But there are other hands, too: ones that write, photograph, repair, organize, provide help in an emergency. These are the hands of individuals who test the limits, make it all possible and tell the stories. Traces of memory that span generations and show the way to the future. Because they, too, have helped write two-wheel history: by leaving their mark, to inspire and guide those who follow.”
By leaving their own handprints, this year’s five inductees will add their mark to that history.
The museum will be open to the public all day, with fans welcome to attend the induction ceremony from 14:00, followed by a meet and greet and autograph session featuring Tarrés, Rickardsson, Peterhansel and Everts.
Jorge Viegas, FIM President, said: “The FIM Hall of Fame allows us to recognise the riders whose achievements have shaped motorcycle sport and continue to inspire new generations. Each of these five champions holds a special place in our history, and it will be a privilege to celebrate them together.”
“Honouring Angel Nieto alongside his sons will be a meaningful moment. By bringing these legends closer to our fans, we can share their stories and ensure their contribution to our sport is remembered.”
The event will offer fans an opportunity to celebrate the riders behind some of motorcycle sport’s most memorable achievements. For details about the FIM Hall of Fame visit – https://www.fim-rmm.com/hall-of-fame
