Triumph Motorcycles welcomed FIM MX2 Motocross World Champion Guillem Farres and Vice-World Champion Camden McLellan along with the Triumph Factory Racing MX2 team to its headquarters in Hinckley, Leicestershire for a special celebration last week.

 

Following an outstanding season of success in the FIM Motocross World Championship, just three years since the British manufacturer’s debut in the series and entry into the off-road segment, Triumph is proud of its achievements with the TF 250-X. Farres and McLellan won 11 of 19 Grands Prix throughout the year, with either one rider or both finishing on the podium at all but one of the world championship events.

 

2026 has culminated in Triumph clinching a 1-2 finish in the championship standings, whilst also winning the prestigious FIM MX2 Motocross Manufacturers Championship title. Farres and McLellan finished the season with 21 moto wins between them and 26 podium finishes, including eight double podiums and four 1-2 finishes, demonstrating the consistently strong performance of the Triumph TF 250-X. This is the first time since 1965 a British manufacturer has won a Motocross World Championship.

 

Both Triumph Factory Racing riders were given a hero’s welcome with approximately 680 attendees from the factory celebrating their arrival on their factory TF 250-X machines just days after arriving back in Europe from a triple-header of races that concluded in Australia. Guillem, Camden, and the team were given a tour of the factory and facility with time to celebrate with Triumph’s management and staff from throughout the company, Triumph’s journey into off-road and first world championship for the brand.

 

Guillem was presented with a special certificate before being shown where his bike will be placed in the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience centre and where his name will be etched into stone on Triumph’s Walk of Legends. This was followed by an evening of entertainment with a traditional British Fish and Chip supper served to all in attendance.

 

The Triumph Factory Racing team now heads to Ernée, France for the FIM Motocross of Nations before preparations begin for 2027. Mikkel Haarup returns to Europe to race alongside Guillem as he graduates into the MXGP category with the team and the TF 450-X, while Camden McLellan will look to earn his first world title in MX2.
